Works in partnership with families to safely care for and protect children.
The Cassowary Coast Intensive Family Support Service is a FREE voluntary service that works in partnership with families to build their capacity to safely care for and protect their children. This Service is available to families residing in the region from Cardwell to Deeral.
It is tailored for families who have multiple and/or complex needs; and works from a family focused, child centred approach. Case Managers work intensively with families to identify and prioritise their needs and achieve their goals to improve family wellbeing.
Intensive Family Support services will meet with families where they feel most comfortable, usually in the home. Intensive Family Support Case Managers will work with families to identify their strengths, worries and concerns. With the family, Intensive Family Support services will develop an individualised plan and together, will continue to work toward family goals.
